I have been teaching voice lessons online since 2014. I have found it to be a wonderful way to reach out to students around the world, and to provide a much needed service of teaching all styles and genres of music – from classical to Pop, R&B to Jazz, and Musical Theater - to singers and singer/songwriters who do not have access to voice teachers in their local community.
I also teach Music Theory to Vocalists and am happy to teach a blended course of online and live interaction in order to apply the concepts of Music Theory to singing.
I write and self-produce my own one-person shows, and I teach and direct HOW TO CREATE A ONE-PERSON SHOW. This is a unique genre where one person writes and acts their autobiographical story on stage. I devised this course at the Berklee College of Music to include music, so this is an interdisciplinary and versatile genre where The actor is the writer, singer, musician, producer, and narrator, ALL - IN -ONE. Many of my students have gone on to expand their 15-minute show into a one-hour (+) long performance, and have performed in front of live audiences in different settings. Now, I am collaborating with several theaters to present the genre online to livestream, video capture, and other innovative online platforms.
